Feed Readers
Feed readers are something new to me and usually when I try
something new, I get nervous about trying it out or using it. However, I have
to admit I absolutely love the idea of having this tool available for me. If
you aren't sure of what feed readers are, also known as RSS readers, this is
somewhat like a bookmark where you can have access to your favorite blogs with
just one click.
I have recently chosen Bloglovin as my RSS feed reader. One of the reasons I
chose this feed reader was because of the ability to create folders. I admit I
need help with organization, and I feel this will be a great tool for me.
Secondly, with Bloglovin a link can be embedded into one’s blog and can be
added. Lastly, it allows followers to
stay up on the latest posts in the feed. Every time a blogger writes a new
post, Bloglovin’ automatically posts a preview in the followers’ feed. Followers
can simply click on the post to read it, like it, or save it for a later time. The
followers can also click on the blog and see all the posts at once. These are
the three main reasons why I chose Bloglovin as my feed reader.
My first blog additions to my RSS were the following:
https://childlitfan.tumblr.com/
This blog is mainly about children's literature and elementary school library
ideas. The promotion of literacy and valuable information posted was one of the
reasons I chose to follow this blog.

This blog shares interesting information mainly about YA literature. I am
following this blog to be informed about YA literature in order for it to be of
assistance in my career.

School Library Journal is a resource I will definitely be using during my
career as a librarian. This blog is important for me to follow due to the
important information it contains.

displays. I one hundred percent recommend it.

In addition to informative blogs, I decided to follow this humorous blog about
typical librarian problems. Afterall, a giggle a day keeps stress away.
I have also created my own Tumblr account! Check it out!

Jorge,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed browsing through the blogs you added to your feeder - especially librarianproblems.com! The memes provided were funny and relevant! I'm sure many librarians would agree!
Thanks for sharing
You followed a lot of great Tumblr accounts! I love that resources likes Tumblr and Feed Readers can help us find people just like us who share similar passions and ideas! This helps us grow and exchange ideas, which benefits the learning communities we serve.
