5391 Final Reflection:
I had a blast taking this class. I tried to incorporate technology into my weekly library lessons because I was already proficient with it; However, this course enabled me to go further. It permitted me to view and utilize a portion of the projects and applications in manners I had not previously, I likewise truly enjoyed having the option to see the ways that different understudies/my companions utilized both the equivalent applications/innovation I've utilized yet in an unexpected way, and the manner in which they found new applications/innovation to follow through with responsibilities in comparative ways. I enjoyed reading about how they made an app perform a similar function much more effectively than I had anticipated. I learn best by "doing," and this class really made it possible for me to do that. On their "Comics & Cartoons" blog, a classmate talked about another graphic designer. I liked that they talked about an app that was similar to the ones I used, but this one had different options. I feel that partaking in conversation sheets and sites is useful for others consequently.

I struggled with some of the applications/pages that weren’t as user friendly. I am typically one that is not afraid to just click on things on a page (or buttons on a machine), but there were several pages that I struggled with. The “Infographic” assignment was one that I struggled with. The way the course is set up to allow students to work on separate platforms, though it may seem redundant and time consuming, is truly a blessing as it allows us to find what works for us. I have created infographics in the past, and thought I would be OK, & I was over confident and wrong. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to work with the 3 platforms/sites to create my infographic. In fact, the platform that I initially thought would be the one l liked best based on first impressions, Infogram, was one of the ones that I disliked the most. If I had just been given the single platform to work with, I would not have been able to find the platform that worked for ME. Platforms may work better for different people or different needs.

I believe that the "Videos & QR Codes" assignment, which we completed, will be most helpful to me as a media specialist librarian. I really enjoyed being able to view the various videos that other library users and librarians had created to share with their audiences. I thought that all of them had features that would work on my campus and features that might have worked well with them but wouldn't be accepted there. I believe that viewing these various campus videos will best equip me with knowledge of editing techniques and video types for our library. I had the option to see a scope of recordings from screen accounts showing how to get to various pieces of the school site and/or OPAC, alongside recordings helping understudies to remember cutoff times on forthcoming errands, to those that grandstand an occasion that occurred on the grounds. I also think that QR codes will do very well on my campus because I will be able to quickly link to various materials, videos, book talks, websites, and even forms for students to fill out. At the beginning of 2020 and 2021, our district will implement 1:1 iPads (rolling start). The elementary students will be able to use a device in any room of the building, even though they may not be given their own devices to take home. Students will be able to access the content linked by QR codes in various campus areas. I also think that teachers will use QR codes and videos in their classrooms and lessons once they understand their advantages.
I am extremely grateful that I was able to enroll in this course and take it. Comic Life is a free application that permits clients to make a comic out of anything, embed an image on it and in a real sense give it a voice with subtitles. This is an extraordinary application for those timid understudies that need to impart their work to a crowd of people yet are too bashful to even consider remaining before the class. It can serve as an introduction to a new lesson or topic, a quick book talk, or a character analysis.
I created a short comic reflection and hope you enjoy it.
